//New Video: Cults
In an act that I am sure will stir a few strange emotions in it’s viewers, Cults finally put out the music video for ‘Go Outside’, one of the singles off their new album, Cults. In doing so they released what I believe will be the weirdest, most unsettling and totally awesome video of the summer.The video makes a not so subtle reference to the band’s namesake, and depicts actual footage of Jonestown, the plantation/religious cult founded by Jim Jones that would end in the collective suicide of 918 people.
The catch however, is that Cults’ Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin appear in the footage, cleverly transposed from the modern day back to Guyana 1978 and performing the song among now deceased cult members. Goosebumps. Check it out and see for yourself. Just prepare to feel REALLY weird afterwards. Let us know what you think on Twitter or Facebook.
